Boat for Sale's ValuGuide is a computer-generated averaging of asking prices for comparable boats that have been advertised in Boat for Sale within the last 3 years. While a fair selling price for a particular boat may vary, the objective of the ValuGuide remains to aid both the buyer and seller in price comparison. The ValuGuide is a great resource to determine a price for your pre-owned boat.
When viewing the ValuGuide, there are some limitations to keep in mind. Only the boat name, length, year and price, are used to generate a comparison. Variables such as condition or extra equipment are not included and may result in extreme price variations within certain boat categories.
In order to generate a comparative listing, we require at least two boats be listed in the exact same fashion. Consequently some of the rarer boats may be eliminated, as well as listings that have been misspelled or listed in a unique fashion (i.e.: by the sail number).
Boat for Sale drew upon over 15,000 listings to create this consumer price list; some listings have been discarded for the reasons outlined above. The sample sizes per listing vary. Please note that all prices are expressed in Canadian dollars.
